The NAACP should only propose resolutions that they have exercised themselves. The Tea Party, having only been active for a year and half, is the only group being singled out for racism in today’s society. There are races committed to the destruction of our entire nation and the Tea Party is being targeted as a threat. Perhaps it is a threat. Could it be that the 2008 election served a greater purpose? The existence of the NAACP, and others like it, are threatened by the existence of the Tea Party. The reality is that we colored people no longer require the assistance from other Negros for advancement in 2010.
These groups run to the rescue of distressed brown people only when the media deems it newsworthy. Meanwhile, there are inner city black children who continue to grow up fatherless while sharing a neighborhood with stray bullets, drugs and a plethora of liquor stores on every corner. To my understanding of the” I Have a Dream” speech, Dr. King’s intention was far from gang-banging and gangster rap. I don’t believe that the true meaning of this nation’s creed was to move black people from one form of slavery to another. The NAACP has been completely ineffective in my lifetime, and the lack of leadership in the black community has contributed to the ability of these groups to speak on behalf of the rest of us. The ignored and forgotten society that lives among the projects has been abandoned by the likes of the NAACP. As well as with other groups and individuals that rode in the coat-tails of MLK, they are irrelevant but continue to feed off of the codependence that they have created among blacks for validation. The issues worsen with media justification that go unchallenged.
They are Democrats who bow to a Democrat master today as they once did over two hundred years ago. Once this is realized by the forgotten society, race in this country will be as irrelevant as those who thrive off of it.

Liberals love to debate by asking you a question, cutting you off, connect it to something rediculous to try and make you look stupid, laugh about it and try to dismiss the explanition and move to the next topic.
Let's not see why you have the opinions you have, let's just dismiss them because it's easier to hear more of what best suits our flawed ideology. l could have provided them with a list of policies that are on the table, that could be put in place and effective now. But, they have so much fun thinking that they get the best of a tea party person and I really don't expend energy in those areas. I will have my laugh in November 2010, and 2012. I'm patient like that.
Today, I actually heard black people say that there are some people that shouldn't be liberated (because of culture or some junk like that). Thank God there are SOME people who agree that people should be treated as human beings. Otherwise, black people would be treated and beaten as stray dogs today. Oh, and let's not forget it took a WAR to put that in motion.Talk about disconnected. :-/
More talk of Obama's landslide election of Hope and Change...blah blah. They didn't like to hear that real effective democracy is on the way. They cannot accept that 62% of people now think the country is going in the wrong direction. Can it be that Mr. Hope and Change is a dud? No, of course not. It's because Republicans are obstructing Obama's ability to do his job. LMAO Um, yeah that's what it is. Republicans don't want more stimulus. They don't want Cap & Tax. They don't want national health care. They don't want additional taxes and spending. They don't want to lose the frist and second amendment. How is that that the effecticve governing right now is coming from a group who is in the MINORITY?
The praise of the presidents historical campaign fund raising was historical was an example that was stated to confirm that democracy has been effective. But, they failed to mention that it was also historical that a lot of those funds were from terrorist organizations. Hmmm.
A praise was given to the president for getting some dough out of BP, but didn't mention that that dough is going to unemployment NOT the gulf coast people. Maybe that part didn't make it to CNN.
And, the messiah has finally shown his lack of experience as an executive. Howerver, he has shned as a celeberity. Concerts, golfing, dinners, theater, etc... The entire country is in chaos.
Commander in Chief? Commander in Grief, need I say more?
Saturday, March 20th as we advanced up the escalator, leaving the darkness of the metro tunnel, I heard what sounded like a white noise. Faint, but noticeable, there was a rhythmic hissing coming from the distance. Walking, now but a few blocks away from the Nation’s Capitol, I searched my mind for any possible sporting events that may be underway. I could come up with nothing. As we walked another block the hissing became words. “KILL THE BILL!”… “KILL THE BILL!”… followed by “NAAANCYYY”… “NAANCYYY”…, and in that moment tears filled my eyes and I knew it was the roaring of the belly of the beast. The despair and frustration of the American citizen had taken to the lawn of the Capitol. Front, back and side to side the people had traveled by planes, trains and automobiles to have their voices heard.
The sky was blue and the sun was accommodating. As we made our way to the Code Red Rally stage, I was proud to see the tens of thousands of people that had gathered in such short notice. Among the sea of patriots flew thousands of bright yellow Gasden flags and hand written messages to Congress. The message was clear, "KILL THE BILL!”.

In passing, a Caucasian lady called the friend that I was walking with a racist. So, he pointed at me and asked, “So, is she a racist too?” Ironically, her answer was, “yes”. I’m not quite sure how that works, but Liberals and the main stream media continue to use the term racist as a Tea Partier adjective outside the likes of Webster’s print.
As a black American woman, and I refuse to call myself African-American since my parents and grandparents and their parents were born nowhere near Africa, I still subconsciously scan the area for other 'minority' men and women. There were a few in plain sight and scattered throughout the crowds. There were no less than I usually discover at a Tea Party rally; however, one has to thoroughly examine the presence of a minority at a conservative rally since the majority of us continue to support these new and improved forms of oppression. So, after reading their signs and T-shirt slogans, I was relieved to see that they were on the same team.
After the rally, we walked over to the Cannon building. It was announced that Obama was on his way, and the people began to line the streets. The sea of yellow streaming snakes and marker filled cardboards flooded the congressional buildings with hopes to get in the galley. The chanting continued. I did not witness the passing of the Congressional Black Caucus, but I was close by. I never heard ANY racist comments nor did anyone around me. Excitement passes quickly when people are side by side, and several things came down the line. You would know a congressman was coming your way before you could physically see him. You would hear that the D.C. police shut down the congressional buildings before you could get across the street. Surely, something that intense would have made it down a row or two.
Before: After:
The next day, one moment in particular had caught my attention. Thousands gathered once again on the west lawn practically touching the house building. The people were shouting desperately “VOTE NO!”…”VOTE NO!”… And to my left, a young family caught my eye. An Indian man, from India, with his two very young daughters was right in the middle of the crowd and up front. He had his fist in the air yelling at the Congressmen on the balcony. His two young girls had their hands cuffed around their mouths supporting their dad’s quest to save his country. You see, it’s not just black people scattered in the midst of the fury of the grass-roots activists. All joined in the singing of the National Anthem. The emotion was indescribable.
My attention was quickly diverted to my right when I heard a man arguing with another man about the health care bill. A man from Africa had made his way into the crowd challenging those who did not want this bill to pass. He debated my friend briefly, but just as the conversation entered into frustration, along comes a man by the name of Robert Broadus. Mr. Broadus was another black man I had noticed in the crowd walking around, talking to people and handing out items. When Mr. Broadus had approached me, he overheard the bantering that was going on with my friend and persistent man from Africa. He immediately engaged and started asking him questions about Liberty and History. When the U.S. Constitution was raised, the man said it was just a piece of paper that was over 200 years old as if it was just an essay written with no value. It seemed that some of the items that Mr. Broadus was handing out were, in fact, pocket copies of the U.S. Constitution. When he produced the living document to the man, he no longer had any argument and walked away. That day, the U.S. Constitution was like kryptonite to liberal supporters of the bill. Once the Constitution was brought out in its paperback glory, they simply just walked away. (all of them). Try it at your next encounter with a Lib.
Sometimes you have to read someone their Rights in order to remind them that there ARE Rights.
If you ignore your RIGHTS they will go away. Keep up the good fight!

Race continues to be a problem in this country because its never been honestly addressed. Whites are too busy feeling guilty, and Blacks are too busy taking advantage of it. Racism is everywhere. Unless you are a minority, you have no idea just how effected you can be based upon your race. I, myself, have lost a job do to discrimination and have taken the necessary actions to document the crime; however, I am also the last person to play the race card because sometimes things in life just aren’t fair.
Why is there not a 13th Amendment celebration during Black History Month? I would bet the average black person has no idea what the 13th Amendment says, more or less understands its impact on their life. Black History Month is dedicated to focusing on all the struggles that blacks have endured, and never focuses on the means by which their triumphs were made possible. We now celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., yet the society that he has so long dreamed of does not honor him. Instead, they are submerged in gangster rap and maintain the highest percentage of children born out of wedlock. Prison incarceration rates skyrocket just as their communities are being controlled by drugs.
The so-called black leaders are out living in their million dollar homes secured in gated communities while our people are struggling. If we were serious about dissolving race issues we would properly educate society on these issues that divide us.
Why is Abraham Lincoln not acknowledged during Black History Month? I may have seen his picture flash for a second on a commercial once or twice, but if not for Abraham Lincoln and the Republican Party, this letter would not exist. How many black people know they owe their freedom to the Republican Party? How many black people understand that the party they swear loyalty to is the same party that spent decades oppressing them?
You see, slavery still exists today. Maybe not traditionally in the sense of forced labor and shackles, but slavery has now manifested in the form of mental oppression and neglect.
Let's examine this for a moment. Speaker Nancy Pelosi is pushing for a "Truth" Commission, which is simply another title given to another politician to do nothing. This commission is hinged on providing oversight and transparency of the happenings on Capitol Hill. The members of this commision will be manned by bureaucrats and that makes sense how?
Question:
If we elected honest representatives of the people, would we need a Truth Commission?
Great news, Speaker! The people already serve on your Truth Commission. And, we will determine what is best for our country moving forward. Thank you for suggesting the necessity of a commission that will serve our country and you justice.
Let’s call this what it is. In the light of Civil Unions, this is nothing but a catfight centered around terminology that stems from the root of egos. The argument would be valid if there were a true injustice of civil rights or even a minor infringement on equality, but I remain unconvinced and therefore say stop acting like children. You cannot have everything you want just because you want it.
The only reason to insist that the definition of marriage should be changed is simply to remove the moral aspect of it. The inherent morality of the term is offensive to those who are engaging in immoral conduct. If we look at history, which is logical but never examined, marriage was to join man and woman to leave, cleave and procreate. I know we live in the age of technology, but I have yet to see man and man procreate or woman and woman for that matter.
Many alternative lifestyle practices still claim to be Christians, but like most Christians they want the Jesus buffet. All want to pick and choose which commandments they follow and selfishly select which scriptures justify their stance or opposition.
Majority of Christians read from a Bible that says the book is not to be added to or taken away from, while swearing by the same Bible that has been added to and taken away from for centuries. I know many Catholics that do not believe in birth control, yet engage in fornication. I know many Baptist in the front row on Sunday mornings that were out getting drunk and cheating on their spouses on Saturday nights.
The terminology is already defined and to suggest that it be rewritten is absurd and a fight that needs to be left between ego’s not legislators.
Pop, pop, pop goes the weasel. A page in history was turned in 2009, and pop goes the Republican. Where were these interested conservatives prior to April 15th? Where did all the righteous concerned so-called servants to the Republican party come from? I see them everywhere now. They are on radio shows, town hall meetings, and pep rallies across the grassroots stages. The nation is bleeding politicians that are trying to 're-brand' their image.
If you were not conservative and for the people before April 15th, in my opinion, you are not welcome to redefine your image on the coat tails of people and their conservative values. How does one go from moderate to conservative overnight? How does one go from loving to hear yourself speak for hours to pretending to want to listen in a matter of weeks? Are they still confused about who "we" are?
Conservatives don't buy into the short lived public appearance and promises of CHANGE. It will take a lot more than a dismissive perspective on history and an ego that needs to be stroked to get 'our' attention. Actions are our interests, not pep rallies and a sudden change of heart. We have proven that we do not need a stuffed suit with a pedigree to represent 'us'. So, proceed with caution.
If you want to lead, then be a leader.
When I think about politicians and the staff that work for them, it makes me picture the Rugrats.
If you are unfamiliar with this Nickelodeon program it is about a bunch of overgrown babies running around breaking all the rules and making messes that they have no intention to clean up. They are a bunch of boobs that can't seem to grow up even though in their imaginations they are risk takers and great adventurers. These delusions eventually come to an end after a lot chaos and a disaster that someone else has to come along and clean up after they have had their fun.
Unfortunately, the Nicktoons ultimately learn from their mistakes and adhere to the moral of the story while the DC versions simply continue to throw fits, constantly one up each other while trying to keep up with the Joneses. They lose sight of the story, and so goes the moral of it. Then, the people are left to fend for themselves and are charged to clean up after the disasters they have enthusiastically created.
Yep, that about sums up politics today.
PETA folks create vulgar campaigns using Jesus and parallels animal cruelty to slavery. War protesters scream and shout at our soldiers, spit in their faces and mistreat them upon arriving home safely to their families from a war. Bush protesters called him the Antichrist and used foul language and explicit imagery on clothing. Where was the outrage and the name calling? Where was the government's and media's label of extremists? Is there such a thing as Left-Wing Extremists, or are there just Right-Wing Extremists? With all this talk about fairness I am left a little confused regarding this double standard in behavior and hypocritical satire.
So, who do I think I am to believe in Truth, Justice and the American Way?
I am just a mom, trying to raise a boy into a man. Men seem to be scarce these days.
We have come to a time in our lives, as a society, where we have to let go of egos and fears in order to hold on to our existence. We have to let go of party lines to hold on to our civilization. More importantly, we have to let go of our insecurities to secure our values. It is time to let go of politics and to regain our principles.
Everyone is so busy trying to categorize themselves into a specific group (i.e. gay, straight, black, white, Republican, Democrat) when the reality is that none of these groups are relevant in the absence of liberty. Without liberty there are only two groups, US and Them! Once the completion of total government control is final we will realize that we will have ourselves to blame, only it will be too late to do anything about it. We have already devalued human life, lost privacy, about to leave behind our freedom of speech and have recently come pretty close to being robbed of our guns.
Call me crazy, but there are quite a few Amendments involved in those issues. I remember seeing a Tea Party sign that read, "If you ignore your rights, they will go away". Now, outside of stating the obvious, this truly encompasses the situation we are facing as a society. We are being manipulated into thinking that losing these liberties is for our own good. This message was packaged and delivered flawlessly while the American people did not hesitate in buying it, unfortunately without having read its active ingredients. So, I hope it tasted good going down. We will "pay" the consequences as will the politicians that support it.
The joke will not be on US.
