Pam Bondi, the Attorney General of Florida, was on Greta Van Susteren Friday at 10:00pm EST. She stated that Romney asked her to be on a task force team in his Administration.
When Palin "soft endorsed" Newt Gingrich heading into South Carolina, and then Newt said he would consider Palin for his administration, many liberal sites and Ron Paul sites cited Title 18 of the U.S. Code, providing that it is a felony to offer potential slots for endorsements:

§ 599. Promise of appointment by candidate
Whoever, being a candidate, directly or indirectly promises or pledges the appointment, or the use of his influence or support for the appointment of any person to any public or private position or employment, for the purpose of procuring support in his candidacy shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if the violation was willful, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.

The situation here is different, and more troublesome, as the actual endorsee admits there was discussion with a candidate for an official position in the Administration. This appears to be a problem given that Pam Bondi did, in fact, endorse Mitt Romney.

The supermajority of Republicans in the Texas legislature could not seem to make quorum twice, and possibly on many more days, in the week prior to the end of the special session to take up the people’s business. I watched the House members scatter all over the floor turning keys on adjacent desks and others as if those members were there, but were they? Strangely enough, on Friday June 24th, Speaker Straus called the TSA bill a publicity stunt, and told reporters on the floor a few minutes later there was not quorum. However, there were 126 members on the roll call, but Straus adjourned for lack of quorum anyway. What I have witnessed is how the special interest pulls the strings of politicians, and how the people have become but a mere thorn in the side of the establishment.
